Installation & electroacoustic intervention

The multimedia artist Bastian Schwind sees photography as an open art form or technique. His exhibitions consist of various materials and forms that understand photography as a construct and a continuous process of reflection. Schwind expands photography in the direction of objects and architecture, as in the exhibition a photographic room. With consistently new works, a photographic space is transferred into a walk-in physical space. Fragments of "real" furnishings with photographic connotations are used: A door frame leads to a five-meter-long hand-tufted carpet that quotes the focus settings of a lens. Can photography be something tactile, soft? Windows with stained glass refer to photography as a form of light drawing.
